24 new NCAA commits, and the Ivy League grabbed seven of them

RinkNet caught up on a busy stretch. Dartmouth landed three, Tri-City jumped 11 spots, and the CHL top spot changed hands.

Hey, welcome back.

Quick correction first. Last Thursday we said nobody new had committed Oct 15–21. RinkNet's list was just running behind. Since then it's added 24 new NCAA commitments, and 13 of them are dated Oct 15–21. So the "quiet week" was actually a pretty busy one. Four more are dated this week (Oct 25–27), and the rest are older pledges that only just made the list.

All 24 are Division I. Here they are, grouped by league and team.

The insight: the Ivies had a week

Seven of the 24 new commits went to Ivy League schools: three to Dartmouth, and one each to Harvard, Yale, Cornell and Brown. Dartmouth's three all start in 2027-28, and two of them are goalies (Skidmore from Cedar Rapids and Kim from Berkshire). The Ivy pledges also came from all over the map: three from high school and prep (Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, Berkshire), two from the USHL and NAHL, and two from major junior (Halifax and Niagara).

See you next Thursday.
